Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan is a name of simple, sober and sweet personality. He is known for his dancing style and acting as he is compared with Tom Cruise. He was born on 10 January 1974 to the former actor and famous Bollywood producer-director Rakesh Roshan. He did schooling in the Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai thereafter he received bachelor’s degree in commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai. His first appearance on silver screen was in Asha (1980) as a child artist. He also worked in Aap Ka Deewana and Bhagwan Dada in 1980’s decade as child artist.

After graduation, Hrithik assisted his father as assistant director for home production films Karan Arujun (1995) and Koyla (1997). He made his acting debut in his father’s film “Kaho Na Pyaar Hai” which became one of the most earned films of 2000. This film got incredible success with over 100 awards. Hrithik’s second film was Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khush Kabh Ghum in (2001) that followed his debut film’s success. Later he appeared in several biggest commercial successful films like Koi… Mil Gaya, Lakshay, Krrish, Dhoom 2, Jodha Akbar and Guzarish.

In a short acting career Hrithik has worked with India’s leading directors, producers and film personalities and got popularity for his acting. He has won four Filmfare Awards for Best Actor for Best Male Debut in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000), Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), Dhoom 2 (2006), Jodha Akbar (2008) along with five Filmfare Award’s nomination for Fiza (2000), Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), Lakshya (2004), Krrish (2006) and Guzaarish (2010).
